New in game channels and Recruitment Overhaul

Eve Radio News

The dust is starting to settle after the switch over to the new multi channel system and all our DJ's are starting to get to grips with how things now work. YOU GUYS, on the other hand, are still running into problems wrapping your heads around some concepts, one of which are the new in game channels.

In the normal eve radio channel - which we call the PRIME channel - is a MotD which details all the new listener interaction channels you can join in order to follow DJ's not operating on the prime schedule. You need to join these channels if you want to interact with DJ's while they are on air?

Want to call Blacklight a gimp while he's spinning the phat beats on saturday nights? Join him in channel ER Dance & Electronica. Want to ask Big Country to kindly swallow a dick when his assesment as to why your alliance is terrible is wrong? Do so in ER Talk & Events.

The new channels are all moderated by default and will only be open to discussion when a DJ on the specific radio channel is on air and wants to hear your thoughts. At all other times, the main Eve Radio in game channel is used. You will want to get into the habit of joining these other channels sooner rather than later so you don't get yourself all confused and emotional as more and more DJ's begin operating.

Speaking of operating on DJ's - no wait.

Speaking of operating DJ's, we have now opened up recruitment fully and are ready to ease your DJing mouths to our broadcasting teets.

In the past there was always great difficulty in placing interested parties into slots due to lack of availability and then more recently, lack of availability and genre locked slots which didn't suit many potential applicants. Now we have seperated ER into several distinct broadcast channels and created smart technology to give the listener lots more choice we think it's time to let the few and the proud join our ranks and fill out all those empty, empty slots we created.

It's never been a better time to dip your toes into on-line broadcasting. Never before have we had so many new slots created to allow fledgling Dance, Rock and Talk DJ's to try their hand spinning tunes or talking ears off in the well nurtured environment that is Eve Radio and Eve Online.

Slots have also been streamlined in many cases. There are abundant 2 hour long sessions on the schedule instead of the more draining three hour marathons. These in particular suit the Dance & Electronica DJ's who are a lot more animated than you might think while on air as well as the Rock & Metal folks who bang out the anthems and give themselves neck injuries due to all that head banging.

Applying to join Eve Radio is now even simpler than before. Instead of looking for which slots are currently open to recruitment you can proceed directly to the sign up form and fill out some basic details and a recruiter will be in touch quickly to fast track your application and run you through some tests. Providing you aren't terrible or have some blatantly obvious flaws with your kit you could be on air and doing your thang inside a week.

If you have ever thought about becoming an Eve Radio DJ, now is the time to take the plunge. Never before have we had so much availability on our schedules and this window of opportunity where you can pick and choose will rapidly close shut. Don't put it off, act now and become part of Eve Radio history as we embark on a brave new beginning.

Apply To Eve Radio here. There will never be a better time.
