Jukebox Downtime
Monday, 29 November 2010 14:37
We will very shortly be bringing down 95% of the Jukebox system so work can begin on reorganising the file system and distribution of music. This work is the first part of an effort to modernise the entire GRN automated music system - part of which includes a refresh of music and proper organisation of the content so we can program specific genre based playlists to operate at key points of the day. This should make the jukebox system a lot more accesable when there are no live DJ's on air and will provide a consistent musical experience at the times where they make most sense.
For the most part you shouldn't notice much difference while the work is ongoing. A selection of music will continue to stream to our Jukebox ports but the variety will be limited and normal requests won't work until it is complete. As soon as this first stage has concluded, I'll update this post so you can get back to requesting as per normal.
